Sunday’s – Nose in a Rose

roses in spring, photograph,

Its still cool enough here in Perth, Western Australia that the roses are in full bloom. No. Not my roses. No, not the neighbor’s roses …. this time either!

I discovered these beauties in my local fish market. Its a small family run fish shop that sells deliciously fresh seafoods.

Nose in Roses

Nice people. They share.

They bring from home their surplus of perfumed rose blooms and set out magnificent bouquets for their customers viewing pleasure.

I haven’t decided yet, whether I might play with my oils, my pastels or acrylics & palette knife…. I’m ….. thinking.

The act of creation, in any media is a fascinating and magical process. I simply love to create. Expressing in color, line, tone, texture - as if, they were words upon a page. Creating a uniquely me, interpretation. Enjoy More of my "one-of-a-kind" expressive art at and,

  1. Beautiful roses. Maybe stare at them a bit more and inspiration will come πŸ™‚ I’m sure it will be a good painting, and all good things take time. It is good that it is cool enough for roses in Perth. Here in Melbourne it was a warm weekend but we are going back to cooler weather next week. I am sure the flowers and trees will be happy πŸ™‚
