Silly Art Saturday

watercolor abstract gold and scarlet,

Sitting in a cafe, sipping expresso. What do you mean, that’s not art? Sure it is. Well, it Can be.

I’ll show you, in this quick Saturday post.

These 4 Images take you visually through my steps……..

Silly Art

First Step

drinking coffee, photograph
At The Cafe,

Lots of colors.  Lots of shapes.  Lots of patterns.

Next Step

watercolor abstract gold and scarlet,
Golden  …calling (c) 2016

Splashing watercolors.

Gold shimmers, then a dollop of red scarlet to be …SILLY!

Then its ‘Drawing’

red impressionist flower, watercolor painting abstract, scarlet red drawing, drawing with a brush,
Red ….

Once again, watercolors.

Drawing patterns with the lovely Rekab #2 320s brush…. fun. delightful. zen.

The idea, came from  the cafe table’s  wood grain.

Finally, Last Step
watercolor abstract, digital art painting, scarlet and gold painting,
Golden Scarlet Melded,

See Differently.

Hey!  What IF?  I thought to myself.

What if, I merged these two?  What would happen?  I wondered.

I could,  take photos of the 2 images painted and then blend them together on the computer.

So, I Did.

Again – Just to be SILLY!

Silly Art Saturday,   what a fun way to take a sip of coffee…. and then translate that lovely experience,  into some wild, weird, wonderful and Silly Art!

Silly Saturday posts I’d  suggest, plus you can go to Search and look too!

The act of creation, in any media is a fascinating and magical process. I simply love to create. Expressing in color, line, tone, texture - as if, they were words upon a page. Creating a uniquely me, interpretation. Enjoy More of my "one-of-a-kind" expressive art at and,

  1. I love how you always see art everywhere and willing to “play” because ultimately art is the spirit at play don’t you think? Leave the serious stuff to the stuffed shirts and let’s play! Being too serious kills creativity. Love how you showed us where you started and what you ended up with, more please! 🙂
