July is #Worldwatercolormonth.

Charlie at doodlewash.com lobbied diligently for July to be the official month for Watercolor.

Part of worldwatercolormonth’s  purpose is  so we can help support children in their art pursuits.

They need art supplies too!

These paintings were done on donated canvases and artist quality paints.

Yes,  including the lovely,  Cobalt Teal Blue!

It seems to be quite a favorite, no matter what the age.

So,  don’t you think the paint glows?!

The paints the children were provided were good professional quality and the colors look just luscious.  Not murky or muddy, but filled with Light!

Donating.  Its good for the soul!

Sharing…. is caring.

The act of creation, in any media is a fascinating and magical process. I simply love to create. Expressing in color, line, tone, texture - as if, they were words upon a page. Creating a uniquely me, interpretation. Enjoy More of my "one-of-a-kind" expressive art at society6.com/debiriley and, redbubble.com/people/debijriley/shop

  1. This is awesome, when children produce great work, they are inspired to paint again, materials are key, and good direction and freedom, after all they are little experimenters, who learn so quickly from their mistakes😀

    1. Hi Beth! Thanks! They have a fresh, say it like it is – way about them that I find so admirable. And they paint that same way. I’m glad you enjoyed them 🙂 cheers, Debi

  3. I chuckled when I saw the title for this post. I was helping my granddaughter to paint a dress on a small canvas yesterday and she had chosen her colours until she saw a teal turquoise colour among all my tubes of paint. Her eyes lit up and she immediately said, “That’s the colour I want!” I guess it appeals to all ages…
