Cadmium Orange, French Ultramarine and Winsor Green feature in this large 36 x 24 acrylic abstract painting.
Just 3 colours were used.
2 were opposites.
I made certain to leave random abstract areas of white, for the contrast.
A subsequent post to explain the signature placement, techniques used, colors, processes and materials can be continued in a later post next week, if you’d like.
Love it. Wish I could paint like this…

As Passajer says, I wish I could paint like this Debi, it’s such a great combination of colours, and the white areas showing through really sets it off 🙂 It’s like this amazing eye watching you! 🙂 A subsequent post about it would be really interesting Debi 🙂

You’re welcome Debi 🙂 I’ll give it a go over the Christmas holidays Debi, the next thing you’ll see is me posting my artwork!! I think not, I think I’ll leave that to you experts! LOL! 🙂

you wouldn’t have to post any! lol besides, it’d be for your fun, enjoyment – not ours 🙂
public scrutiny, (sometimes) can be like a public commissioned work. It Can drain the fun out.

You’re so right about any post, whether it’s art. photography or the written word, it should all be for fun Debi. Without the enjoyment factor, I think, in most cases, most peoples work goes down hill. Getting negative feedback, I always treat that as a positive, it’s the best way of learning and if someone is just plain nasty, I just ignore them!!
That’s the serious bit! Lol!
As to attempting some watercolours, I may try the digital variety, and possibly post it, it will be fun to see everyone’s reaction 🙂 I enjoy a challenge! 🙂

even though it’s abstract I see a lot of things in it, the sun going down behind some bare trees and a pond ….(without smoking anything, hehe) Hope you have a nice 4th advent, cheers Mitza

A wide but bloodshot eye. Rotating the painting 90 degrees to the right places the tear duct towards the bottom left of the image. The right eye if you’re looking in a mirror. the left if it belongs to someone else. I really like this! 🙂 x

hi Kerry, thanks! it does indeed look like a bloodshot eye 🙂 I had to smile, as I detected you were really observing this piece – not just a skim through. yay!
