Autumn Aglow Landscape is a mixed media painting that I’ve used Prussian Blue to create the tree foliage. The painting was done in a loose, interpretative and impressionistic approach…no brushes! My reference sources were from my recent walks and taking quite a few photographs of the autumn leaves, water reflections in the late afternoons.

The golden front foliage is mixed quinacridone gold, burnt sienna with a small bit of prussian. The image was done on a gessoed masonite board with heaps of texture.
Once I mixed my colours and tested them on a Test Strip, I then rubbed them into the board with an old cotton rag.
I did not use a brush for this image, as I wished to maintain a higher ratio of softer, blurry edges to enhance the hazy, impressionistic look.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing this info.
