Loose bold free impressionistic watercolour mountains and hills! Bold bright cobalt sky emphasizes the top of the hill providing a sense of heat, summer and sun to the landscape.
Mountain in Blue is an inspired mix of cerulean blue, prussian blue with a bit of umber; then allowing some of the paint to drip down the mountain sides using gravity to help things along.

The act of creation, in any media is a fascinating and magical process. I simply love to create. Expressing in color, line, tone, texture - as if, they were words upon a page. Hi Debi, So good to hear from you and to see your latest work. Love your mountains, and so glad that you have created your teaching website. I still use notes and the materials that we produced when you were teaching your small band of painters in TX. I’m remembering your TLC and the fun times we all had together when you were not only our teacher, but a fine friend, as well. Best wishes to you and your family. Leslie
Thanks! some of These were actually students’ work!! from my 1 day, absolute beginners’ landscapes course – I was quite pleased with the lovely results and wanted to show them on WordPress. Thanks Leslie, we did have wonderful times indeed. Take care, happy painting! Debi
I have thought a lot about you and felt badly that we had lost touch. You are still the best art teacher that I have cever had. I hope all is well with you in the art world and I hope that your family is doing well.
